Are you confused about supplements?

These are some of the questions I asked Clinical Nutritionist and Traditional Naturopath, David Getoff, when he came back to the Better Beyond 50 podcast.
Now, I’ve heard some nutritional “experts” say that we don’t need to take supplements at all—they claim that we can get all the nutrients we need from a healthy diet.
But David Getoff says this is NOT true.
He says, research shows very clearly that supplements are absolutely essential to getting all of the nutrients we need.
While our grandparents didn’t need supplements we do.
Because the quality of the food we have available today isn’t even close to the quality of food our grandparents ate 100 years ago—the foods we’re eating today are LACKING in the nutrients we need to look and feel our absolute best.
While the poisons in our environment continue to increase, and the more that food manufacturers continue to hybridize and genetically modify foods to make them ship better, pack better, last longer, and look better, the nutritional value of our food continues to decrease.
EVEN IF you’re already eating a healthy diet—because the foods available today are so nutrient-depleted—there’s no way you’re getting everything you need.
Everyone has some degree of nutritional deficiencies, so taking supplements is required if you want optimal health.

David Getoff is a nationally board certified Clinical Nutritionist and Traditional Naturopath. He has been in private practice in San Diego County for over 20 years.
David is board certified in integrative medicine, is a Fellow of the American Association of Integrative Medicine and is the vice president of the 63-year-old Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation in Lemon Grove California.
David is an elected member of the American College of Nutrition and he has produced over a dozen – one to three hour educational DVD’s on topics including: cancer, diabetes, detoxification, healthy eating and emotional problems in children.
